I should manage a cartoon or two over the next few nights/days--sorry for no updates in the last 24 hours.
A huge thank you this Thanksgiving to ToonDoo, the cartoon-building (and hosting) site without which the fun I'm having here wouldn't be possible. I first got the idea for Shelf Check as a library aide with the Fairfax County Public Library system in 1997. Ten years later, I found this great tool that enables me to write and cut-&-paste the strip without having to draw it.
Thank you, too, to all who read, subscribe to, and (especially--that's why it's a blog) comment on Shelf Check. Thank you, thank you. I am very grateful for the opportunity to entertain and converse with you.

Frindle by Andrew Clements (a smart story about a kid who makes up a word that ends up in the dictionary)
Can of Worms by Kathy Mackel (a funny story about a boy who's always believed he came from another planet--and finds out he DID)
