Let me take a minute here to plug the Twin Cities Gay Men's Choir (shout out to my brother!) Their next concert is "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing," June 27-28, 2008 at Ted Mann Hall at the U.
Come for the Pride, stay for the music. They are wonderful, you will be moved.
End of commnercial; and now, back to "Shelf Check"!
Cool, Andrea--I'll definitely try to make that. I love choirs and a capella. And I like accordions, too [grin].
I should mention, also, the GLBT Pride Gala reading taking place at the Minneapolis Central Library on June 25 at 7pm (no, not library-sponsored). Here's the link:

16 poets and fiction writers will read in 3-5 minute segments. I'll be one of them (reading poetry, not comic strips, alas).

LOL.
We do have a long way to go.
And I say that as someone fond of accordions.
